The below procedures are currently being partly adhered too, if guidance changes they will be fully reimplemented. (August 2023)
Please find set out below the procedures which Shire Stairlifts Ltd will be carrying out until further notice in response from advice issued by the UK government, this is being put into place to protect our customers and staff as much as possible.
Before we attend site the customer will be asked via telephone the following:-
1. Do you or anyone in the premises have a recent persistent cough or fever, or are suffering from any Covid 19 symptoms?
We will NOT attend if a client answers yes to the above question.
2. Are you, or anyone else in the premises currently self-isolating because of underlying health issues which increase your vulnerability to Coronavirus?
We may be able to attend if question 2 is answered yes, but only for emergency breakdown or survey after risk assessment criteria is met.

Where we can attend site we will request to keep a safe recommended distance to customers.
We will ask for the door to be opened and will request the customer has moved to another room.
If possible the door way into the property will be lift open when we are working on stairs.
The stairlift will then be worked on / or survey carried out, disposable gloves will be worn at all times.
Anything touched on the stairlift will be anti bac wiped when completed.
Our engineers are practicing advised cleaning of hands procedures before they enter a property and when they leave a property / and our the use of hand sanitiser.
We want to reassure you that Shire Stairlifts Ltd is working hard to do everything we can to stop the virus spreading and ensure that our customers are protected.
We will amend this policy as the advice that is issued changes over time and would like to thank all our customers for your patience and understanding during this difficult period.
